Curated Video Series

This video program was co-curated by Elliot Anderson and Kota Ezawa in conjunction with exhibition LifeLike curated by Marcia Tanner at New Langton Arts, San Francisco, CA.  The video program includes found videos and works by artists investigating the Post-Human. 

In the short films and videos of this program apparatus, nano-technologies, recombinant genetics and other matter substitute human actors and systems.  The classic fear of the machine taking over our planet is juxtaposed with utopian technological optimism to expose an oscillation between man, machine and culture.  Artists’ videos are screened along with visual media from television, science, technology and popular culture.
